These full or discounted registration waivers are intended to help those who need financial assistance to attend the Fire Congress. In particular, we wish to increase attendance by tribal members, students, managers/practitioners, and international attendees.
This year, AFE is offering 15 registration waivers. We currently do not have funding to offer travel support or assist with accomodations. Therefore, applicants should have an alternate source of funds for travel, accomodations, and daily expenses.
Who Can Apply?
We encourage anyone who needs financial assistance to attend the Fire Congress to apply. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on the criteria below. You do not have to meet all criteria to apply.
- Financial Need: Will the applicant be unable to attend without this assistance?
- Diversity: Will the applicant increase the diversity of people and perspectives represented at the Fire Congress? This can be answered in many ways and is an open-ended question so applicants can self-describe.
- Congress Participation: Is the applicant a presenter or organizing a session at the event? Is the applicant a first-time Fire Congress attendee?
