Federal Shutdown Contingency Plan

Please read the information below, and then complete this quick form to let us know an alternate email address and how you plan to participate in the event of a shutdown.

Registration

All presenters should be registered by now, and the refund deadline has passed. We are very hopeful that the congress will not be affected by a federal shutdown; however, if a shutdown does occur, we are not able to refund registration fees.

Plenary Sessions

A link to the livestream and recording for the 3 plenary sessions will be available to all attendees.

Concurrent Sessions

The congress is not set-up to be a live hybrid event, and we are not able to make changes to our plans at this time. We will share your presentations with the options outlined below and provide access to the mobile app, Whova, which can be used for sharing content and networking.

Oral Presentations

  • Have a colleague or co-author present in your place.
  • Upload a pre-recorded presentation by November 22 that will be shared on the mobile app. Click here for instructions.
  • Pre-recorded presentations may also be shown during your presentation time slot at the event.
    • Note: We want to keep sessions engaging for in-person attendees and avoid several back-to-back recordings, so some presentations may only be available on the app or moved to a different time slot if we rearrange the schedule.
  • Communicate with other attendees and respond to questions and comments via Whova, with chat, video, and 1-1 messaging.

Poster Presentations

  • Upload a PDF or JPG of your poster to the mobile app, Whova, by November 22.
  • Upload a 1-2 minute video by November 22 highlighting the key information you want to share with attendees.
  • Mail your poster or send with a colleague, and we will put it up for you. You may also have a colleague stand with your poster.
  • Communicate with other attendees and respond to questions and comments via Whova, with chat, video, and 1-1 messaging.
